About Kari

Kari Ringer is an experienced stage, screen, and voiceover artist who is grateful to be living her dream!

Kari Elizabeth Ringer was born in Canton, OH on January 16, 1987. As an only child, her mother will tell you she had a "flair for dramatics". Kari grew up performing locally in children's groups, church, and community theaters.

When she realized that performing was her future, she attended Otterbein College (now Otterbein University) and graduated in 2009 with a BFA in musical theatre. There, she performed the title role in HELLO, DOLLY! under the direction of 2-time Tony Award®  Choreography Nominee John Carrafa, and Anytime Annie in 42ND STREET, choreographed by Tony Award® winner Randy Skinner.

Her professional career has spanned from regional musical theater to Shakespeare festivals to Off-Broadway premieres in NYC.

In 2012, Kari transitioned from New York City to a sea-based musical career, working with Stiletto Entertainment to premiere 5 brand-new shows for Holland America Line's TOZ (Theatre Op Zee) showcase.

These shows are now featured on the MS Ryndam and MS Noordam. Two of these Cirque-du-Soleil-style production shows, CLASSIQUE and DROOM, won the 2013 Magellan Award for Best Show at Sea.

Also with Holland America Line, Kari was lucky enough to perform in the acclaimed DANCING WITH THE STARS AT SEA® program. Stars from the hit ABC show take over HAL ships and turn the average guest into a dancing phenom!

When she transitioned to more land-based opportunities, Kari performed regionally all over the US, and internationally in Europe, South America, and Mexico. She co-wrote and produced a US touring variety show, RED HOT & BLUE COLLAR. She performed as part of a duo act with a hilarious Georgia-based stand-up comic, Eric Dowis.

In 2015, Kari was able to secure a spot on the entertainment team at Universal Studios Florida. She performs in many exciting shows and attractions, including Poseidon's Fury, Volcano Bay's Krakatau Volcano, Celestina Warbeck and the Banshees, and her personal favorite, runs amok as everyone's favorite redhead, Lucy Ricardo!

Today, Kari has the opportunity to act in different roles (sometimes daily!), travel throughout Florida to act, direct and music direct at many regional theatres (Orlando Shakes, Winter Park Playhouse, Osceola Arts, Mad Cow Theatre), and has written, directed, and co-starred in a

brand new touring show, The Downhome Darlings!
